Our next meeting, “Starry Skies, Healthy Gardens: Effects of Light Pollution on Pollinators” presented by Tim Brothers will be held 10:30am to 12:00pm on March 18, 2023 at the Reuben Hoar Library, 35 Shattuck St., Littleton, MA 01460.
Many of us can recall a time when more stars were visible in the night sky. The disruption of our once pristine nighttime environment, as indicated by the disappearance of the Milky Way, has deep and profound consequences for gardening. Tim will be talking to us about light pollution and its impact on nocturnal pollinators, agriculture, human health, safety, energy waste and the environment as a whole.
