Learn from horticulturalist, award-winning author, and sought after speaker, Warren Leach, about hardy plants that will withstand drought in our landscapes. In his presentation, “Drought Tolerant Gardening and Landscape Design”, Warren will share insights on how to cope with the challenging conditions of climate change.
Warren is co-owner with Debi Hogan of Tranquil Lake Nursery in Rehoboth, MA. This specialty nursery is closed this season as they transition some of their land to agricultural preservation and save select varieties of their prized day lilies, irises, and distinctive perennials and woody plants. For more than 35 years, Warren has created beautiful landscape designs throughout New England and taught courses at Rhode Island School of Design, Harvard, Swarthmore and other notable arboretums. He has published articles in many magazines such as “Fine Gardening,” and was recently interviewed by Margaret Roach on the podcast, “A Way to Garden.” Warren’s book, “Plants for the Winter Garden,” won the American Horticultural Society Best New Garden Books for 2024 award and copies will be available for purchase at our meeting.
We look forward to learning drought-tolerant gardening strategies from Warren at this exciting and timely talk!
