Announcing early, convenient and flexible spring dividend distribution dates
The yearly dividends are a longtime, popular benefit for our members. New and renewing members who have paid their membership dues by March 31, 2025 will be eligible for the Spring dividend distribution. After full member distribution, there will be an opportunity to purchase extra individual plants at our discounted price at the sites and dates noted below.
The Dividends
Each individual or couple membership, will receive three locally grown, 1qt., 4” plants.
Aster alpinus mix; multicolor
A delightful variety of Alpine Aster plants that produce a vibrant array of colorful, daisy-like flowers. This mix offers a range of hues, typically including shades of lavender, blue, pink, and white, all featuring a distinct yellow center. Aster alpinus is a compact, low-growing perennial, making it ideal for rock gardens, borders, and containers. These flowers are known to attract bees and butterflies, adding to the garden’s ecological value. They are great for mass planting, and create a very colorful ground cover. They prefer well drained soil, and can grow in full sun to partial shade.
Penstemon (beardtongue), electric blue; blue
A stunning perennial known for its vibrant, intensely blue flowers. This Penstemon variety is prized for its eye-catching, vivid blue, trumpet-shaped flowers. It’s a favorite of hummingbirds and butterflies, making it a valuable addition to pollinator gardens. Once established, it’s relatively drought-tolerant, making it suitable for drier climates and gardens with well-drained soil. It is very well suited for rock gardens, borders and sunny garden areas. Prefers full sun, and well drained soil.
Penstemon (beardtongue), mystica apex; blue tones
A captivating Penstemon variety showcasing a spectrum of beautiful blue hues. This variety offers a range of blue tones, creating a nuanced and visually appealing display within its trumpet-shaped flowers. Like other Penstemons, it attracts hummingbirds and bees, enhancing garden biodiversity. It’s suitable for borders, rock gardens, and other sunny garden areas, adding vertical interest with its upright growth. Prefers full sun, and well drained soil. The apex part of the name, indicates that it is a cultivar that has been bred for certain desirable characteristics.
